Rotary International Announces President-Nominee for 2028-29
Dr. Bharat Pandya of the Rotary Club of Borivali in Mumbai has been confirmed as President-Nominee of Rotary International for 2028-29. A surgeon with nearly four decades of medical practice, Dr. Pandya is widely recognised for his longstanding commitment to Rotary's humanitarian mission, particularly its global effort to eradicate polio.
His Rotary journey began in 1989 through local polio immunisation campaigns and later included service on India's National PolioPlus Committee, which helped support the country's successful fight against the disease. As Rotary's future president, he will help lead the organisation's 1.2 million members worldwide in creating lasting positive change in communities across the globe.
