Many people in Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads, Point Lonsdale, Wallington, Marcus Hill and across the Southern Bellarine want to do something useful for their community.
They see a need.
They have skills.
They have energy.
They care.
But knowing where to begin can be difficult.
That is where Rotary helps.
Rotary brings people together to turn good intentions into practical action. It is a well-tested, internationally respected network of community-minded people who work on local, national and international projects. Through Rotary, ordinary people can achieve useful things together.
The Rotary Club of Ocean Grove is part of that tradition.
We serve the Southern Bellarine. We raise funds. We support local groups. We back young people. We help maintain community places. We take part in international projects that improve lives in places such as Cambodia, Bali, Sri Lanka, Timor Leste and the Philippines.
This is practical service.
This is organised goodwill.
This is Rotary.
Our club is involved in activities that many people in the local community already know: the Rotary Summer Market, the Rotary Art Show, the Great Barwon River Duck Race, Junior Student Awards, lookout maintenance, ANZAC Day support and a range of overseas projects.

Some projects are local. Some reach across the world.
Through playground recycling, Rotary members help remove and relocate playground equipment from council and school sites so it can be used again overseas. Through overseas education support, our club has helped students training to become teachers in Cambodia. Through Bali Smiles, we support students from a remote area of Bali. Through our events and fundraising, we support community groups and practical causes.
Rotary gives structure to service.
You do not need to arrive with a finished project. You do not need to know every answer. You do not need to have been involved before.
You need time, energy and a willingness to help.
Some members enjoy hands-on work. Some help with planning. Some bring professional skills. Some help at events. Some connect people. Some support youth projects. Some care about international service. Some simply want to contribute to the place they live.
There is room for different skills and different interests.
Rotary is also social. We meet, we talk, we hear from guest speakers and we work alongside people who want to contribute. Friendships form through service. Trust builds through shared work.
The Rotary Club of Ocean Grove meets weekly at the Ocean Grove Bowling Club. New members are welcome.
The Southern Bellarine has people who want to do good. Rotary gives those people a place to begin.
Many members of our community already know what we do and know we're ready to help. We are respected, and we're so proud of that.
Take a look around our website to see what we do.
You may find that the thing you have been wanting to contribute is exactly what the community needs.
